This assists them in finding sources of employment, preparing an effective resume, and with interviewing techniques. The goal of this program is to prepare ICDC College graduates to enter the business world with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
ICDC graduates of the Computerized Accounting Fast-Track Diploma program may be qualified to hold entry-level positions that include:
Accounts Payable Coordinator: This role oversees accounts payable activities, such as preparation, review and maintenance of records. You would prepare checks for all purchases made on behalf of the company, maintain all accounts payable files, match purchase orders with vendor invoices, and prepare reconciliation statements.
Bookkeeper: As a bookkeeper, you would work with QuickBooks® and Sage Peachtree™ to organize and process accounts payable and receivable, generate client invoices and financial statements, administer client billing and collections, and perform month-end closings. You would manage bank and general ledger reconciliations and payroll processing. You would also be responsible for inventory control, tracking and reconciliation, and preparing depreciation statements.
Accounting Clerk: As a clerk in an accounting department you would be expected to maintain all account files including filing of general ledger vouchers, accounts payable invoices and related financial documents. Your duties may include researching, tracking and resolving documentation discrepancies or problems, auditing daily sales reports, and posting data to the account journals. You may also be asked to assist with accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll preparation.
Payroll Clerk: In this role you would be responsible for calculating staff paychecks based on hours worked and any deductions applied (taxes, insurance, retirement). Your duties might include collecting, calculating and entering data to update payroll, compiling information for reports, and determining payroll liabilities by calculating employer’s social security, employment and worker’s compensation payments.
